Save Time With gGastro
Administrator Barbara Snow, of Arkansas Gastroenterology, tells how prescriptions get out faster and chart notes get done by end of day, instead of days later.
Here is a full transcription of the video:
CMS made it mandatory that you send prescriptions electronically. Since implementing ModMed we can do prescriptions directly from the EHR, which is awesome. This saved us so much time.
One of our doctors has recently tried a scribe. He absolutely loves that. He doesn't have to do anything except review and sign off on his note at the end of the day. The rest of them all, they type in their notes manually and they're all done by the end of the day, which in the past was not the case. It could be a week, or two weeks, by the time those charts were done.
Everything is kind of real time. The other good thing about that, once the doctor signs his note, it goes directly to the referring provider. That saved us a lot of time and a lot of money because we weren't paying a transcription service to do that for us. It is a marvelous feature.
