My name is Jennifer Van Beekum, I’m the Director of Operations at Modern Orthopaedics of New Jersey. We are a hand-to-shoulder upper extremity practice. I do absolutely love the fact that with ModMed, we are able to save time. My front desk staff see that a lot when a patient comes to check in.

All they have to do is give us their driver’s license or insurance card. We can OCR their insurance card and driver’s license right into the computer, so there’s no typo errors. We put in their referring provider, which makes it nice for my doctors to be able to just literally close their note and fax it.

The best thing we can do is make sure that we’re in contact with those primary care doctors and with those pain management doctors, whoever it may be that referred. And we want to make sure that we’re reciprocating and giving them the information as well. And ModMed has definitely allowed us to be able to do that from just faxing things out easily to the check-in and the checkout process.
