The Importance of an Orthopedic EHR from The Steadman Clinic

The Steadman Clinic describes how the orthopedic-specific EHR, EMA®, is easy to use and is tailored to an orthopedic workflow.

Here is a full transcription of the video:

My name is Abby Jugovich. I am the director of clinical applications at the Steadman Clinic in Vail Colorado and I’ve been there for just about coming up on three years. We are a national Olympic provider. So we see patients from all over the country as well as all over the world. The benefits of a specialty-specific application is truly that the application is tailored to the way in which a specialist thinks and the specialist operates versus an internist or a primary care or end patient. When you’re thinking about primary care you’re thinking about a patient’s lifespan. When you thinking about orthopedics, you’re thinking about potentially an acute issue that happened. We don’t think long term. We really wanted to tailor to our physicians and provide them something that was going to accommodate their needs and how they practice. One of the requests I have from a provider was “give me something that works on an iPad.” So I was shocked to see that. In my background I had not seen an iPad product before so that was a really exciting thing for us. It seemed very user friendly. We really liked the ability to do body clicks and how it was really designed for an orthopedic organization. So we were really impressed. ModMed has gone above and beyond.
