Dr. Michael Podraza is a board-certified physician providing obstetrics, gynecology and gynecologic surgery services. He left his previous group to open his own practice, Harmony Women’s Health in Memphis, TN.

Using EMA on the iPad and protocols have been a game changer for my new practice. I’m able to continue seeing a high volume of patients while providing significantly more face time to them versus spending hours finalizing notes. With my previous system, I saw 30+ patients per day and spent countless hours at the end of the day documenting and finalizing my notes. When we opened the office, I personally had never used an EHR or practice management system. ModMed’s Practice Management system is so easy to navigate. We can view primary payers and patient co-pays, deductibles and balances all on one page. We can access the patient’s chart seamlessly rather than spending time tracking down individual charts. We love utilizing the payment plan feature and often use it for OB deliveries or surgery prepayments. With this option, the patient isn’t left with a large lump sum owed at once. We also use billing alerts that pop up for each visit, showing what’s due or if a payment is delinquent. The structure of the system has helped to keep our outstanding patient balance low.

I love the ability to view the unallocated payments and auto-allocate those as necessary. This saves so much time…

Claims are sent out quickly and multiple times a day. If there is a denial, it’s very easy to correct it and resubmit, which has made things easier for our biller. Also, the Analytics platform allows me to drill down to specific information such as the most frequent CPT codes utilized or outstanding insurance payments.

In addition to the strong capabilities the system offers, what we absolutely love is the responsiveness and receptiveness of the ModMed team. They listen to us and want to understand what we as users encounter to make workflows more efficient. That is something that no one in our office has experienced with other companies.
